Shawn Henry serves as Executive Advisor to the founder and CEO of CrowdStrike. One of the company’s longest-serving leaders, he joined in 2012 after retiring from the FBI senior executive service. Previously CrowdStrike’s chief security officer and president of CrowdStrike Services, Mr. Henry was instrumental in building the company’s security organization, including its world-renowned global incident response and professional services practices.
A champion of CrowdStrike’s “One Team. One Fight.” ethos, Mr. Henry is recognized for fostering a mission-driven culture that unites a globally dispersed workforce. Before joining CrowdStrike, he served as Executive Assistant Director of the FBI, where he led all criminal and cyber investigations worldwide and established the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force. For his leadership in advancing U.S. cyber capabilities, he received the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Executive.
Mr. Henry is a trusted voice in the global cybersecurity community. He lectures at leading universities, serves on multiple advisory boards, sits on the Board of Directors of CLEAR, and is a faculty member at the National Association of Corporate Directors. A frequent keynote speaker and commentator for national and international media, Mr. Henry has been honored with numerous accolades, including the 2025 CSO Hall of Fame, NACD Directorship 100 (2019 and 2022), the Federal 100 Award (2010 and 2021), and the 2021 SC Award for Security Executive of the Year.
