Elizabeth (Liz) Rodgers is a distinguished cybersecurity professional with over 20 years of experience known for her ability to lead build high-performing teams and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives. Currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at RAND, Liz develops, implements, and monitors enterprise-wide cybersecurity and risk management programs, providing strategic and tactical vision in adversary and threat detection, incident response, and asset fortification.
Prior to her role at RAND Corporation, Elizabeth held key positions at Meta Platforms and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). At Meta, she led the strategic direction and operations of Financial Technologies Security, ensuring alignment with financial regulatory requirements and driving collaborative security strategies. At NASA JPL, Liz’s roles included Chief Information Security Officer and Deputy Division Manager, where she managed a division providing IT strategic planning, application development, and engineering product lifecycle management.
In addition to her professional achievements, Liz is dedicated to community engagement and mentorship. She volunteers extensively contributing to leadership development, academic excellence, and empowerment programs for middle and high school girls. Liz’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and giving back underscores her status as a leader both in her professional field and in her community. She holds a B.A. from Georgetown University, and an M.S. in Cybersecurity Policy from the University of Maryland.
