Cynthia Cullen is a Business Information Security Officer at Thomson Reuters. In this role, Ms. Cullen is responsible for driving strategic initiatives for the Information Security Risk Management group, providing thought leadership and insight regarding the ever-changing global threat landscape specific to Reuters media.
Ms. Cullen has over 20 years of experience leading cybersecurity and information risk programs. Cynthia has held the roles of Global Director of Information Security at IPG, CyberSecurity Strategist at HPE, VP – Information Security Officer at Citi, CTO at SAFE BioPharma, designed an S-SDLC process for Bristol Myers Squibb and was an CISO/Director at Telcordia/Bellcore, was President of the NJ Chapter of leading security organization, an ICIT Fellow advising congress and staff on cybersecurity issues. She served on the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School Board for 9 years include as VP and President. She is an in-demand speaker with experience at national & international venues (i.e. NIST, OWASP, RSA, Gartner, DIA, OWASP, Healthsec …)
While at BMS, Ms. Cullen received the Digi Award for industry leadership for the pioneering use of interoperable digital identities by National Cancer Institute, BMS and Sanofi, reducing the cost and time required to get critical medicines to market more quickly. As CTO of SAFE BioPharma, a consortium providing digital identities for use across the industry, Ms. Cullen’s leadership and innovation were recognized by the White House initiative on National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyber Space (NSTIC) winning her Computer World’s Computer Laureate Award.
