CIO 100 2025 Awards Judging & 2025 Award Winners

The CIO 100 Awards celebrates 100 organizations and the teams within them that are using IT in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimizing business processes, enabling growth or improving relationships with customers. It is an acknowledged mark of enterprise excellence. Because the award is given to companies rather than individuals, it’s an honor that entire teams may enjoy.

The CIO Hall of Fame is a prestigious leadership award that recognizes exceptional achievement in information technology management. This honor celebrates current CIOs (or other C-level technology executives) with a proven track record of 10-15 years in the role, leading IT strategy in midsize to large enterprises. Inductees have not only advanced the CIO function but have also driven sustained business success. Beyond their impressive career accomplishments in IT, Hall of Fame members are distinguished by their significant business impact and visionary contributions to technology, transforming organizations and shaping the future of IT. #CIOHOF

Key Information Judges Consider:
  • Eligible applications will be graded by two judges from a pool primarily composed of past CIO 100 Award-winning CIOs, along with CIO editors and trusted partners; each entry is reviewed by a unique set of judges to ensure no two entries are evaluated by the same people.
  • Key judging criteria include technology innovation (how IT was used in new ways) and business value delivery (measurable impact backed by data).
  • Judges look for clear, detailed applications that focus on business goals, project results, and provide supporting data for innovation and business value.
  • Successful applications highlight industry context, before-and-after impact, challenges faced, solid metrics (ROI, profitability), and an engaging, first-person narrative.
