Vince Cordina

Vince Condina is the inaugural Chief Information Officer of Adelaide University, Australia’s first new major university in a generation, formed through the merger of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia and launched in January 2026. 

An experienced technology and transformation executive with a career spanning multiple industry sectors, Vince has led technology strategy and investment, digital and organisational transformation, cyber security, enterprise technology, governance and large-scale operational change, with a strong focus on connecting technology investment to organisational priorities and outcomes. 

Vince was previously Chief Information Officer of the University of Adelaide, where he led strategic planning, technology investment and the university’s cyber security agenda. During his tenure, he guided the technology function through significant institutional change, completing major elements of its established transformation agenda while advancing network modernisation and other strategic business initiatives. 

Vince went on to lead the technology integration underpinning the creation of Adelaide University, unifying teams across two large and complex technology environments and IT functions. His remit included maintaining critical services across both foundation universities throughout the multi-year transition while establishing the digital foundations required for Adelaide University’s launch. 

As inaugural CIO, his focus is on harnessing technology to enhance student experience, enable education and research, simplify how the university operates, and shape a secure, resilient and AI-enabled institution. His approach centres on connecting people, technology and investment to institutional priorities and creating long-term value.
