
Stephanie Franklin-Thomas, Ph.D. is a seasoned IT executive with over 28 years of experience driving global business transformation and security initiatives across various industries. Currently serving as the global VP and
chief information security officer at Medtronic, a leading medical technology company, she oversees strategies to protect the company’s operations globally. Prior to Medtronic, Stephanie has held executive roles at Fortune 500 companies, including as Sr. VP and CISO at ABM Industries and vice president and CISO at Motiva Enterprises, a Saudi Aramco company. She holds an NACD director certification and serves on the boards of St. Luke’s Hospital
and The National Cryptologic Foundation. Stephanie is a published author, a frequent speaker on cybersecurity and D&I topics, a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a lifetime member of the National Black M.B.A. Association. Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s and M.B.A. from Our Lady of the Lake University and a doctoral degree in organizational development and leadership from the University of Northcentral Arizona.
Outside of her professional endeavors Stephanie enjoys time with her husband and two dogs in Houston, Texas. She also has a deep passion for mentoring young professionals and championing diversity in the workplace.
