Vishal Gupta is a Senior Vice President “Deputy Chief Technology Officer” at National Securities Depository Limited [NSDL] with over 27 years of experience across in business consulting, product design and development, large transformation program management and collaborating with Fintechs. Currently, he is responsible for anchoring and driving NSDL’s Digital Initiatives Office spearheading a strategic multi-year business transformation and technology modernization programs as well as formulation of the overall IT strategy and establishing the company’s technology vision to support growth in all areas. Responsible for providing the technology leadership for driving Strategic Product and Platform Solutions in Capital Markets. Spearheads the integration of emerging technologies, such as Blockchain, Tokenization and AI, to deliver innovative solutions that provide a competitive advantage for the organization. Working on aligning the technological strategy with business goals to create sustainable growth, enhance customer experiences, and improve operational efficiency. His key focus areas cover optimization of systems, reducing technological debt, and ensuring the scalability and security of all digital assets. Recent accomplishment was the design and implementation of DEMAT 2.0 for Corporate Bond Tokenization launched in GFF 2026.
