Mr. Lawson has a diverse background in the cybersecurity discipline and extensive military experience with the information and cryptologic warfare community. Shannon currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Redapt and previously served as CISO and Chief Privacy Officer for the City of Phoenix, was the inaugural CISO for the State of Alaska, Director of Cybersecurity at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, Information Assurance Engineer at AUSGAR Technologies and SAIC, and a Global Network Exploitation Analyst at the National Security Agency.

Mr. Lawson completed a Master of Jurisprudence in Cybersecurity Law and Policy from Texas A&M University School of Law. He has earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in cybersecurity from Utica University, a Master of Science in Information Assurance from Capitol Technical University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina. He also completed the Carnegie Mellon University- Heinz College Executive CISO program.  Mr. Lawson holds the CISSP, CISM, C|CISO, and CNDA certifications.
