Sean D. Mack

Sean D. Mack is CIO & CISO at Wiley, an education and research company. Sean is a visionary and innovative technology leader with a history of driving global business strategy and transformation. He has extensive background leading DevOps, infrastructure, enterprise applications, security, and desktop services in educational technology and publishing industry.

Sean has led global teams across a wide range of companies from global financial companies like Experian to innovative technology companies like Etsy. He has also worked extensively in the education technology and publishing industry with companies such as Pearson, Scholastic, and Braven (a non-profit technology education start-up). Throughout his career he has held a variety of technology leadership ranging from Vice President of Operations and Applications for Pearson Education to CIO for a start-up in the streaming media space.

Sean has his Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of California and a Masters in Business Administration from Seattle University.

Sean was born and raised in New York City and has lived in various places around the world including Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco and the UK. He currently lives in New York with his wife and eight year old daughter. He likes fitness including martial arts, boxing, and skiing. He rides a Triumph Thruxton and plays upright bass (although, admittedly, not well).
