Phil Alfano

Phil Alfano, Field CTo for Apptio, acts as the bridge between Apptio’s solution factory and our field organizations. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, he works with Product Marketing, Product Management, Presales and Customer Success. His professional purview includes partner business development, competitive surveillance and go-to-market messaging.

Possessing technical expertise coupled with keen business acumen, Alfano brings a focused, innovative approach to every customer conversation. With more than 20 years of experience working in the business of technology, Alfano has held a variety of roles including Technical Writer, System Administrator, Solution Consultant, and Presales Leader at fast-paced companies like BMC, Mercury Interactive, Opsware, and Hewlett Packard. He also holds a variety of technology and industry certifications, including MCSE and ITIL.
