Paul Coby has been a FTSE 100 CIO for a quarter of a century. He was the first-ever Group CIO – as opposed to ‘IT Director’ – at British Airways, John Lewis Partnership, Johnston Matthey and now Persimmon Homes.
As CIO he has used technology to revolutionise the business operating model – leading the customer-enabled BA programme which developed the now ubiquitous calendar selling model for airlines, in John Lewis he worked on the Retail Revolution that launched click & collect in the UK; and in Persimmon he developed the sector-leading Persimmon Way app which manages safety reporting, training and work allocation for >110,000 sub-contractors.
Paul published in February ‘The Digital Leader’s Playbook – 62 Fundamental Maxims for Success for Today’s IT Executive’; which he has launched in London, Leeds and Birmingham, and in Chicago and Amsterdam.
