Nash Borges

VP, Global Engineering Secureworks

Nash Borges is the Vice President of Global Engineering at Secureworks, where he leads the development of Secureworks Taegis™ and its growing capabilities across endpoint, network, cloud, identity, email, and vulnerability risk prioritization. Nash leads the diverse group of engineers, data scientists, and security researchers that developed Taegis leveraging machine learning since day 1. With a career that began in high school when he was recruited by the National Security Agency (NSA), Nash has a proven track record of building and operating big data systems at the intersection of machine learning and human intuition, especially under the pressure of intelligence operations and international crises. Prior to joining Secureworks, he spent 18 years at the NSA, originally as a wireless and mobile-device penetration tester, and then as a data scientist working on novel applications of machine learning and the fusion of speech processing, geo-spatial, behavioral, and social network analytics. Nash holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Tufts University, and later earned his M.Sci. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, focusing on machine learning and anomaly detection.
