Kris Burkhardt

As Accenture’s Chief Information Security Officer, Kris leads a global team of over 800 security experts charged with protecting company, client and employee data.

Kris is accountable for security operations, client data protection, cyber risk reduction strategies, incident response, the cybersecurity integration of acquisitions and an industry-recognized employee behavioral change program.

Prior to being appointed CISO, Kris helped create Accenture’s global Information Security capability and led the implementation of Accenture’s information security technology. Before that, he led large complex technology implementations for Accenture and for clients.

Kris joined Accenture in 1995, and has served clients in the United States, Japan and Australia in a variety of industries. He holds an Economics degree from the University of Michigan.
