President and Co-founder SustainableIT.org

Josh Harbert is the President and Co-founder of SustainableIT.org, a global nonprofit with over 100 members in 13 countries dedicated to advancing sustainability through technology leadership. Josh’s organization aims to unite a vast community of tech and sustainability leaders to author essential transformation programs, develop best practices and frameworks, and establish governance standards and certifications. His efforts also focus on providing education and training, and raising awareness for IT-centric sustainability initiatives that ensure long-term benefits for organizations and future generations.

With over 20 years of leadership experience, Josh has effectively guided high-growth companies and led independent global nonprofit trade associations serving the CIO community. His notable tenure includes serving as the Executive Director and General Manager of the Technology Business Management (TBM) Council, where he enhanced the value technology executives derive from every investment, resource, and asset.

Josh began his professional career in software development, creating several significant SaaS applications for leading companies like Pegasus Telecommunications, Sprint, and e-Security. He holds a Mathematics degree from Bellarmine College.
