
Joel O’Connor is Head of Technology, MedTech Quality within Quality, Compliance and Sustainability at Johnson & Johnson, where he leads technology innovation to advance quality management across the MedTech organization. He is the technology leader behind QuIn, a transformative AI-powered digital assistant that brings together human expertise with machine learning, automation, and data-driven insights to improve efficiency, reliability, and patient-centric impact. Since its phase one launch in November 2024, QuIn has been adopted by more than 4,000 users globally and is now scaling to 15,000 users across additional business functions and quality workflows. The initiative has reduced task lead times by 50% to 95%, cut complaint-intake processing from 7–10 minutes to less than one minute and delivered a 70% reduction in required human touch for key workflows. Through QuIn, Joel is helping to redefine how quality is managed, scaled, and understood across the enterprise.
