Guatam Roy

Gautam Roy is a technology executive with decades of experience in financial services, insurance, logistics, utilities, manufacturing, and services industries. He is currently the SVP, and CTO at Unum, a global insurance company that helps millions of people gain affordable access to disability, life, accident, critical
illness, dental, and vision benefits through the workplace.

As an innovative leader, he collaborated on the go-to-market strategy, implemented operating models, created business partnerships, build products and services, and aligned digital technology to business strategy to maximize profitability. He partnered with businesses to optimize business processes, data hygiene, systems integration, and risk and compliance.

Before joining Unum, Mr. Roy was the CIO at WASH. He worked with the CEO and the board to disrupt the industry. He created a business plan enabled by digital technology to transform the company. Build a market-leading app that improved win rate, revenue, and profitability At Waste Management (WM) he worked on creating a frictionless Customer Experience that drove the transformation of the Customer Care Organization. WM restructured its Call Center technology, operational metrics, and customer care business processes. He focused on fleet optimization to rational spend within the fleet supply chain. He led the next generation fleet technology program to innovate operational services.

Mr. Roy held several positions of increasing responsibility with the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). Under his leadership, CBOE marketed the fastest, low latency, highly available, and secure financial trading systems.
