Gary Jeter is Executive Vice President/Chief Technology Officer for TruStone Financial, the second largest credit union in Minnesota. In his role at TruStone, Jeter initiated multiple transformation initiatives, including significant upgrades to digital and mobile platforms, process improvements, communication enhancements, and integration with several fintechs, all designed to improve workflows and member experience. In addition, he was responsible for strengthening all facets of the credit union infrastructure, implementing a comprehensive data security program, and transitioning the credit union to agile product management. In 2021, he oversaw the merger of TruStone with Firefly Credit Union, which at the time was the nation’s largest merger of financial cooperatives. The union involved the successful integration of core platforms, and over 65 front and back-office applications. Jeter’s work has been featured in CIO Magazine, Toggle Magazine, and the CU 2.0 Podcast. He has been twice recognized with CIO100 awards, in 2023 and 2024.
