Emma Smith

Emma Smith has been Global Chief Information Security Officer at Vodafone since 2015. Emma leads an internal security team of over 900 people globally. Her team are responsible for setting risk appetite, defining security strategy and policy, security architecture and industry collaboration, engineering and operations of security technologies, the security and privacy of new products and services, and 24×7 cyber defence. Emma is also responsible for Technology Strategy & Technology Governance and IT Strategy and Architecture. Emma is passionate about security, and active in her pursuit for inclusion for all. She also holds an independent Security Advisor role for Tesco, is a member of the Dell Security Advisory Board and chairs the European Round Table for Industry CISO forum.
