
For over 30 years, Mr. Wilcox has built and operated industry leading information security capabilities and top-performing information security teams in the Fortune 500 and beyond. In doing so, he has demonstrated a commitment to partnership that has helped to drive business growth at major enterprises spanning Financial Services, Healthcare, Energy, and Defense.
Wilcox was previously the Global Chief Information Security Officer for Elevance Health, a vertically integrated Fortune 20 global healthcare company. While at Elevance, he took what was a lagging program and transformed it into the highest rated program in the payer industry measured against the NIST Cyber Security Framework. All of this during a time of unprecedented growth in the threats targeting healthcare. Along the way, helped Elevance to earn billions in new business and renewals.
Prior to that, he served as CISO at Centene and Aclara Energy and served in a similar capacity at The United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (MetLife). He co-founded the Masters of Cybersecurity Management degree program at Washington University in St. Louis, where he taught for years as an adjunct professor. Mr. Wilcox has served on several industry and non-profit boards including Boxx Insurance, The Internet Security Alliance, and the Security Advisor Alliance, a non-profit he co-founded. He and his family call Indianapolis, Indiana home. Most importantly to him, he is a devoted husband, loving father of five, and loving grandfather twice-over.
