Dr. Kumar Vadaparty

Dr. Kumar Vadaparty is an Executive Director and Distinguished Engineer at Morgan Stanley. Based in New York City, he currently heads internally developed Generative AI Product (DevGenAI) and holds more than 20 United States Patents, eight of which are in GenAI. Most recently he has researched AI, ML, and Generative AI and innovated products that automate modernization, language transformation and productivity improvement across multiple divisions. He has spent 20+ years in the finance industry re-engineering trading systems into modernized architectures at Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, UBS and Morgan Stanley. During his expansive career Dr. Kumar Vadaparty has published dozens of peer-reviewed research papers, book chapters and journal columns, has served as chair faculty member and has been recognized through many international awards in the banking industry. Outside of work, Kumar spends his time teaching physics, coding and generative AI to the youth, learning Sanskrit Grammar and writing Telugu poems.
