Darren Argyle

Darren Argyle is a highly accomplished and internationally recognized executive in the field of cybersecurity and technology. With extensive hands-on leadership experience, he has held Group CISO and executive cyber risk roles at prominent organizations, including Standard Chartered Bank, Qantas Airlines, and S&P Global (formerly Markit), among others. His career journey also spans roles at leading multinational technology vendors such as Symantec and IBM, reinforcing his track record of success on a global scale. 

Darren’s industry contributions have not gone unnoticed, earning him numerous awards and accolades that underscore his expertise and leadership. Notably, he graced the cover of SC Magazine in 2016, was named among the top 100 CISOs globally in 2017 and 2022, appeared on the top 100 IT security influencers list in 2018, and was awarded ‘Innovator of the Year’ by the SANS Institute in 2022. Additionally, he received the “Outstanding Cyber Security Professional” award from the Cyber OSPAs in December 2022. In 2023, he was honored with the Chief Security Officer Top 30 (CSO30) for the third consecutive year, including the inaugural CSO30 Leadership Award in the same year. 

In addition to his cybersecurity professional achievements, Darren displays an entrepreneurial flair, having co-founded a cybersecurity software business in 2015 and in 2018, the Cyber Leadership Institute, a career accelerator hub dedicated to nurturing the next generation of cybersecurity leaders.  

Off the podium, he is an avid fitness enthusiast and meditation practitioner, promoting the balance between mental and physical wellness for peak professional performance.
