Chris leads IDC’s global Telecom Operations and Monetization research. Chris’ core research coverage includes the evolution of telco monetization, customer experience, orchestration and assurance capabilities, and the AI, Cloud and platform infrastructures which support these systems. Telcos are at a crossroads, double down as utility providers or become digital service power houses. Both strategies demand communication service providers fundamentally transform their IT capabilities to enable customer first experiences, autonomous operations, and the capacity to innovate monetization models at scale.
Chris joined IDC in 2022 as part of its EMEA Telco Insights research service focused on Telco OSS, BSS and long-term transformation trends in AI, Cloud, customer experience, business structure, and Sustainability. Previously Chris was the lead Telco BSS analyst at research house Omdia after 4 years researching telecom networks from Broadband and NFV, to Network Slicing, Cloud Core, AI and Blockchain.
