Bob Schuetter

Robert Schuetter is Global Chief Information Security Officer for Ashland, a global specialty material and chemical company. A veteran in creating advanced, world class security teams for highly targeted organizations, Mr. Schuetter has a decade of experience as a CISO, CSO and Risk leader. He has been recognized as a top 25 Global CISO by Gartner and a top 100 CISO by Cyber Defense Magazine.

Mr. Schuetter got his start in the early days of modern cyber security at General Electric running advanced threat for 650,000 employees and contractors in one of the most highly targeted companies in the world. Mr. Schuetter had a hand in inventing, designing, and maturing many of today’s best practices in security operations, insider threat, risk frameworks, and threat intelligence. He ended his time at GE as the Global CISO for the Aviation and Military business.

Mr. Schuetter joined the Ashland family of companies in 2013 as their first Global Chief Security Officer, later adding enterprise architecture under his direction. Ashland Global Holdings was a Fortune 280 conglomerate. In 2016, he founded Integral Defense, LLC, a cyber security services group that provided cyber services to each business entity as they filed for their own IPOs as stand-alone companies.

Mr. Schuetter is an active advisor to cyber security startups and investors, and a keynote speaker in cyber maturity, risk frameworks, and advanced threat intelligence.
