
Antonio Marin is a technology executive with more than 25 years of experience driving IT strategy and business transformation across a wide range of industries. He currently serves as Chief Information Officer of NorthStar Memorial Group, a nationwide network of funeral homes, cemetery, and cremation operations. Antonio will be inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the information technology profession at the 2026 CIO 100 and Awards Conference.
Throughout his career, Antonio has held C-level technology roles across waste management, oil and gas, retail energy, logistics, commercial software, retail, healthcare, and engineering procurement and construction. In each role, his focus has remained consistent: aligning technology strategy with business outcomes, building high-performing teams, and leaving organizations measurably stronger.
His approach to leadership and technology has earned consistent recognition from the industry. In 2018, his IT team earned the IDG Digital Edge 50 Award, and a the HoustonCIO CIO of the Year ORBIE Award in 2019. In 2021, the HMG Global Leadership Institute spotlighted Antonio with their Leadership Award. CEO-Monthly magazine named him the “Most Trusted CIO in North America” in 2022, and in 2024 Health Tech World named his team as one of the World’s TOP 3 companies supporting Healthcare by Health Tech Word. His team’s innovations earned consecutive CIO 100 Awards in 2024 and 2025 and a second HoustonCIO CIO of the Year ORBIE in 2025. In 2026, efforts in cybersecurity earned the CSO award followed by the highest honor of joining the CIO Hall of Fame.
Antonio’s investment in the technology community extends beyond his executive responsibilities. He is a founding member of the HoustonCIO chapter, serves as President Emeritus of the Houston SIM Chapter, and is a member of the Executive Association of Houston. Alongside his wife, Carmen, he co-founded the Carmen and Antonio Marin Endowment for Computer Science students at the University of Houston–Downtown, reflecting their shared commitment to developing the next generation of technology professionals.
The Marins also actively support awareness campaigns for Autism, the March of Dimes, cancer research, and congenital heart disease.
A seasoned global leader, Antonio has directed international teams across assignments in Chile and Brazil. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and an MBA in Global Management and is a former Project Management Professional (PMP).
