Antonio Marin

CIO US Med-Equip, LLC

Antonio Marin is the Chief Information Officer of US Med-Equip, LLC., and the Society of Information Management – Houston Chapter board member. Antonio’s career spans more than 25 years in IT, with experience in strategic planning, business alignment, mergers and acquisitions, operations excellence, software development, and project management, among other areas. Before joining US Med-Equip, Antonio held several C-level leadership roles in various industries, including waste, oil & gas, retail energy, logistics, commercial software, retail, and engineering procurement construction companies. Under his leadership, technology think tanks, industry experts, and colleagues have recognized his IT departments’ contributions to their company’s technology advancements and business outcomes. A seven-time CIO of the Year nominee, Antonio and his teams’ recognition span over the years with the following awards: 2024 CIO 100, 2024, 2023, 2019* (winner), 2018, 2017, 2016 CIO of the Year Finalist, 2023 University of Houston-Downtown Distinguish Alum, USME’s “Neil Little” on leadership, 2022 CEO-Monthly magazine “Most Trusted CIO in North America,” 2021 Global Leadership Institute, 2018 IDG Digital Edge 50.

Antonio is actively involved in professional development and philanthropic organizations. In addition to his role as president emeritus of the Houston SIM Chapter, Antonio is a member of the Executive Association of Houston and a founding member of the HoustonCIO chapter. With his wife, Carmen, he co-founded the “Carmen and Antonio Marin Endowment” for Computer Science students at the University of Houston -Downtown. Antonio and Carmen support campaigns for Geneysworks, autism, March of Dimes, cancer, and congenital heart disease. He has been a guest at industry-leading podcasts, keynote speaker, and panelist at multiple conferences.

Antonio has extensive experience managing global teams, including overseas assignments in Chile and Brazil. Antonio holds a bachelor’s degree of Science in Computer Science and an MBA in Global Management.
