Anna Yankova

Anna Yankova is the Project Management Specialist and CIO Support  at Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, a state health insurance marketplace. Anna has a Bachelor’ Degree in Languages and Translation from Odessa State University, Ukraine and a Master’s Degree from American University, School of International Service. Anna has 15 years of professional experience working for the Mayor’s Office of Baltimore, the Office of the Secretary of State, and the private sector. As the Immigrant Program Coordinator at the Mayor’s Office, Anna managed various city-wide programs assisting immigrant and refugee population with vocational training, employment, and language assistance. As the Director of International Affairs at the Office of the Secretary of State, Anna managed state -wide Sister States Program that promoted public diplomacy and global business collaboration. In this capacity, Anna also served as the diplomatic protocol officer for the state. She also has private sector experience, managing business development and health IT projects.  Anna holds Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate from Project Management Institute (PMI). She is currently working on earning her Executive MBA at Robert Smith School of Business, University of Maryland (expected June 2022). She speaks Russian, Ukrainian and French. In her free time, Anna enjoys watching documentaries, reading international relations and foreign policy magazines, working out, kickboxing and travelling.
