Amala Duggirala currently serves as Executive Vice President and Enterprise Chief Information Officer (ECIO) of USAA. She is responsible for USAA’s technology transformation, which will position the association for a strong second century. Amala leads and inspires over 6,000 employees and thousands of contractors across technology, data and security disciplines supporting the Enterprise, while keeping a sharp eye on risk management and fiscal discipline.

Duggirala joined USAA after serving as the Chief Operations and Technology Officer at Regions Bank. Prior to that, she led technology and product transformations in the fin-tech and telecom industries at companies including Kabbage, ACI Worldwide and British Telecommunications. A recipient of the 2024 Central Texas CIO ORBIE, 2020 Alabama CIO ORBIE, Forbes “CIO Next 2021” and 2022 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business, she has a consistent track record of advancing automation and scalability to meet evolving operational and member-facing needs.

She holds a Master of Science from Columbia University in New York with a specialization in Business and Digital Transformation, as well as an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a certification in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University. She earned her degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India.

Duggirala currently serves on the board of directors for Kelly Services, Inc, a specialty talent company connecting talented individuals with companies in need of their skills and the San Antonio Food Bank, a nonprofit organization with a mission to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education, and advocacy. She is married to Srinivas, and they are proud parents to a daughter, Divya.
